Do you allow visitors ?
A maximum of 4 visitors are allowed onsite by prior arrangement only. All visitors must leave by 10pm, visitors staying longer than 4 hours will be charged at the applicable daily rate.
What size are your pitches?
The majority of pitches are 10m x 10m - this allows Caravans/Motorhomes with awnings and Tents including guy ropes a maximum width of 7m by 8m in depth.
Are Fire Pits allowed ?
BBQ’s are welcome for cooking purposes only, Fire Pits / the burning of wood is not permitted at anytime.
Do you allow dogs ?
We accept well behaved dogs, as long as they are kept on a lead and any mess picked up. There is a fenced in exercise area on site. We do not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
Can I freeze my own ice blocks?
No, for hygiene reasons we have our own blocks that are kept clean and frozen, which can be hired.
Is there somewhere to dry clothes?
There is a rotary dryer near the entrance to the Dog walk area, two washing machines and tumble dryers can be found in the Laundry room.
How far is it to the beach?
The site is one mile from Porthtowan Beach, where there are lifeguards during the summer.
There is a Pay & Display car park next to the beach if you want to drive.
When is your onsite shop open and what do you sell ?
Open 22nd March - 30th September 2024. Opening hours 8:30am - 10am & 4:30pm - 6pm. We always have milk, bacon, eggs, bread and a selection of cold drinks, sweets and ice-creams as well as some basic essentials.
How far to the nearest supermarket?
There is a an Aldi & a Tesco on the outskirts of Redruth, about 3 miles away. We are also fortunate to have a good selection of butchers, bakeries and greengrocers in St Agnes as well as Redruth.
Is it a quiet site?
In response to many visitors, we have a strict 'No noise after 11pm policy', which we do enforce.
Can children use their bikes, scooters / skateboards on site ?
For the safety & enjoyment of all, during May half term and the summer school holidays, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, skates etc. are not permitted to be used on site. However, bikes can be used in our adjoining grass playfield.
Do you have the facility to offer electric vehicle charging ?
Electric car charging is not permitted at anytime, our electrical system will not support this.
Do you recycle ?
We have always encouraged our visitors to recycle and have boxes for Glass, Plastic, Bottles, Cans, Newspapers and Cardboard.
Do you allow supermarket deliveries ?
Supermarket deliveries are allowed on site between the hours of 9am - 6pm please leave notes for the driver to contact you directly on arrival. Outside of these times leave instructions in the delivery notes for the driver to contact you on arrival, so that you may meet them and collect shopping from the Car Park.
Do you have static caravans, lodges, pods or any other types of accommodation ?
No, we are a touring site where people bring their own accommodation.
What type of ground pegs do you recommend ?
The ground in Cornwall tends to be Stoney, we would always recommend hard ground pegs ( eg. Blue Diamond screw 20 pro ) when putting up tents and awnings, we do sell these in the Campsite Shop.
Do you charge for wind out awnings / sun canopies ?
No we do not charge for wind out awnings or sun canopies unless they have sides and a front attached.
If I am bringing a Motorhome and a car do I need to pay for the car ?
No, the first car is included in the pitch cost.
Can we use Electric scooters / hoverboards / kids motorbikes on site.
As All of the roads on site are used by the General Public, this means that any item being used must be road legal as all of the roads on the site come under Jurisdiction of the Road Traffic Act 1988, therefore all of these items cannot be used on site.
